  Artist Statement: Creating my stickman animation was both a labor of love and a test of perseverance. On the surface, the simplicity of stick figures might seem unassuming, but this project challenged me in ways I didn’t anticipate. From conceptualizing the movement and story to executing each frame, I gained a deeper appreciation for the intricate art of animation. The hardest part was bringing life to something so minimalistic. Every small line and movement had to convey emotion, action, and energy. I spent countless hours refining the timing, ensuring that the gestures felt natural and the story unfolded in a compelling way. With limited tools and simple visuals, I had to rely entirely on creativity and precision to create a sense of flow and engagement.

My artist statement: While making this I realized that this piece explores the intersection of identity, self-expression, and patience through digital masking and color manipulation. By overlaying the individuality emerges against an otherwise muted world, emphasized by overlaying vibrant colors on a grayscale background the contrasting layers of personal identity and external surroundings. Each color represents a unique aspect of personality, hinting at the roles and personas we wear.
